We are selling bottles of it for £4.50
To makes 3 litres of elderflower punch
Ingredients:
375g of sugar
3 litters of water
3.5 lemons
8-10 elderflowers
- First warm 1.2L to simmering in a sauce pan.
- Then add 375g of sugar and stir with a wooden spoon.
- After making sure that the sugar has completely dissolved add the juice from the lemons.
- Leave simmering for another 5 minuets and stir to make sure all sugar and lemon is mixed in.
- Then in a big bowl or jug add 2.8L cold water and add to the boiled mixture and then let it cool to room temperature.
- Then chop 2.5 lemons in half and squeeze their juice into the cold water and boiled mixture, and add the whole lemon so they can soak.
- Add the elderflowers and cover mixture.
- Leave 3 days before sieving. We used a muslin to make sure no flowers or lemon pips were left in the drink.
- Then enjoy :) Refreshing and slightly fizzy
You can either bottle it or enjoy it fresh. Last for a few weeks in the fridge or can be frozen but remember it will expand so give it plenty of spare space in the bottle.
